Our Methodology
Transparency isn't optional. Here's exactly how we research every topic.
Evidence Review
We start by reviewing the available scientific literature on the topic. We look at peer-reviewed studies, meta-analyses where available, and assess the quality of the evidence. If a claim is commonly made, we check whether there's credible research supporting it.
We're honest about the state of the evidence. "Promising but preliminary" is a valid finding. "No evidence" is too.
Source Verification
We cross-reference claims against multiple credible sources. We check regulatory guidance (particularly UK regulations), official health body positions, and ensure information is current and accurate.
Clear Communication
We translate complex science into plain English without dumbing it down. We distinguish between what the evidence strongly supports, what's promising but preliminary, and what's unsubstantiated.
Editorial Independence
Wellness Lab UK is not sponsored by any brand or organisation. Our content is driven entirely by the science and our editorial judgement.
We believe this transparency is the bare minimum consumers deserve. If you have questions about our process, get in touch.
